4.2. Erasing Deleted Data

When you delete the data from your hard drive, it is not completely deleted and can be recovered again. It is because the traces of data remain on hard drive until they are erased or overwritten.To completely erase the deleted data beyond recoveryBitRaser File EraserprovidesErase Deleted Dataoption.

Steps to EraseDeleted Data:

1. RunBitRaser File Eraser.

2. SelectErase Deleted DatafromSelect Optiontabs displayed on the left pane of the screen. All the connected drives consisting of free space are displayed as below:

3. Select the desired system volume to initiate the erasure process for its deleted data.

4. ClickErase Nowto start erasure process.

5. Confirm Erasuredialog box appears to confirm whether you want to erase the selected data permanently. ClickProceedto continue.

6. After successful erasure completion,Process Completedwindow appears with theErasure Summaryof deleted files.

7. ClickOKto finish the process.
