Recovering a Lost Partition

Stellar Data Recoveryallows you to search and recover data from lost and deleted partitions of a hard disk. You should use this option to recover data from an accidentally deleted partition. This option will search and list all the deleted and lost partitions in the hard disk along with existing volumes.

To recover lost partition:

1. RunStellar Data Recovery.

2. FromSelect What to Recoverscreen, select the type of data i.e.Everything, Documents, Folders & EmailsorMultimedia Files, you want to recover.

3. ClickNext.

4. OnRecover Fromscreen, select Can’t Find Drive fromConnected Drives.

5. ClickScan. The following screen is displayed:

Note:You can also click on ‘Click here‘ on the lower-left pane of theRecover Fromscreen to begin theCan’t Find Driveprocess.

6. In theSelect Hard Drive to Search Lost Partitionwindow, all the hard drives connected to the system are listed with their details. From this window, choose a hard drive you want to scan for lost partitions and clickSearch. A scan for lost or deleted partitions will be performed in the selected disk or drive.

7. ‘Search Completed Successfully‘ message will appear showing the number of partitions found in the selected hard drive. If the desired partition is not visible run theExtensive Partition Searchoption given at the bottom-left of the screen.

8. All the partitions that are found will be listed in theSelect Partition to Recover Datawindow as shown below:

9. From the list of partitions found, select any desired partition and clickScanto continue with the recovery process.

10. For information on how to preview and recover the scanned data, seePreviewing Scan ResultsandSaving the Recovered Files.

Note:If you wish to save the scanned information and resume the recovery process at a later stage, seeSaving the Scan Information.

Note:If you can’t find your desired partition in thePartition Foundsection, you can choose theExtensive Partition Searchoption to perform a comprehensive scan of the selected drive for deleted or lost partition.
