Recovering Data from Existing Image

WithStellar Data Recoveryyou can perform the recovery operation on a newly created disk image usingCreate Imageoption or on any previously created disk image.

To recover data using any disk image:

1. RunStellar Data Recovery.

2. FromSelect What to Recoverscreen, select the type of data i.e.Everything, Documents, Folders & EmailsorMultimedia Files, you want to recover.

3. ClickNext.

4. OnRecover Fromscreen, selectRecover from Disk ImagesfromOther Locationsand clickScan.

5. From the displayed dialog box selectRecover from Existing Imageoption and clickNext.

6. All the disk images are listed onRecovery from Imagescreen with their respective sizes. If the image is not listed, click onAddto browse and select the image file.

7. To remove an image from the list, select that image and clickRemove. ClickReset, to restore the list to default.

8. Select the desired image file and clickScan开始the recovery process.

Note: If you are scanning a drive that is encrypted usingBitLocker, you will be prompted to either enter the Bitlocker password/Recovery Key or Select a Bitlocker Startup Key (.BEK file). Use any one of the following steps, to initiate the scan process:

• Enter theBitlocker password/Recovery Keyin the text box given and clickOK.

• Alternatively, chooseSelect Bitlocker Startup Key (.BEK)radio button. Clickto browse and select the .BEK file and clickOK.

9. A screen showing the scanning process is displayed. ClickStopto stop the scan at any point.

10. Once the scanning process is completed, details of the files and folder found are displayed in a dialog box as shown below:

Note:You can select only one image at a time for recovery.
