Select Logs from Different Locations

The Log Analyzer allows selection of General and Binary files from the location different from Redo file location. Redo files for MySQL database are created by default and saved at a specified location but the creation of General and Binary Logs can be initiated with a command. User can browse to select the desired database from different locations provided that the user provides a root folder containing at least one database and ib_logfile for corresponding database.

Previews Log Records and Transaction Log Data

The Log Analyzer displays preview of databases and tables of MySQL log file in a tree-view structure. You can view the content of tables by selecting a particular table. It also allows you to view complete transactions and log details of any MySQL Log file. You can view the transactions details such as Transaction Type, Transaction Name, Transaction Time, Query, etc. You can select and preview the Transaction Type – Insert, Delete, Update, before saving the log tables data and log transactions.

Saves Log Report

The software provides option to save log report of the MySQL log file analysis process, after scanning the database. The log report can be used at a later stage to analyze the contents of the process. It contains detailed information about the analysis process, such as start and end time of scanning process, selected log file name, log file size, total number of transactions present, etc.

The software allows saving logs in multiple formats, such as MySQL, CSV, HTML, and XLS format. You can save log tables data in a tabular form directly to your MySQL server or save the tables data in CSV, HTML, or XLS file format. After completion of the analysis process, you can use the Find option in the preview window to search for particular items. You can also apply date filters on log transactions and log transaction data to analyze the data for a particular time period. Further, you can search for ‘Other Transactions’, including the queries performed by MySQL at the backend. You can also search for a particular Query from the preview available after database conversion.
