[Resolved] Error: 'Outlook not installed properly’

Outlook not installed properly’error appears while saving the converted mailbox items to PST file. You can resolve the Outlook error by creating a new local Outlook profile.

Steps to Create a Local Profile in Outlook

  • OpenControl Paneland go toUser Accounts

  • ClickMail

  • Click on the ‘Show Profiles…’ button

  • Click on the ‘Add…’ button
  • Enter a ‘Profile Name’ and click ‘OK’. You can give any name to your profile


  • A new ‘Add Account’ window appears. Click ‘Cancel'

  • Click ‘OK’ to finish creating a local Outlook profile with no e-mail account

现在you can export the mailbox items to PST without error.

    I scrupulously followed these instructions , but the answer is always the same: : 'Outlook not installed properly’ .
    Is there a solution or have I spent money in vain?

    Dear Luigi,

    Please make sure that you have installed Ms-Outlook before installing Stellar application.

    Please re-install Stellar software and you will be able to use the application else please reply to our email to guide you further.

    我也有同样的问题。遵循以上步骤but it still doesn't work. I want to export to PST. Why won't it allow me? I already bought the Technician license for Toolkit for Outlook. Can you help me urgently please.

    These instructions do not work. Using Office 365 (now Microsoft 365), Outlook is working correctly. I added a new profile. But I still get "Outlook is not properly installed".
