What do I do with Image Creation stays stuck on Sector 0 and never goes past it?
The drive that is giving me problems doesn't even show up in the Data Recovery list of drives, but it shows up on my computer and I can see it when browsing for drives in Image Creation. What's the deal, is this corrupted data beyond the abilities of the software?
Jules
Hi Jules,
Can you let us know if the hard drive is accessing on your computer. Are you able to see any partition on the hard drive?
Try with uninstalling the application and reinstalling again to check if it detects the hard drive.
Do let us know if it worked for you.

Hi Abhay,
I tried to "Create an Image" but it doesn't matter how big or small the sector size is or which drive I save it, it always says "The destination you have chosen doesn't contain sufficient space" even though it does. What does that mean? :(
Thanks
Cathlyn
Hi Cathlyn,
Could you please let us know the whole process which you follow to create an image. Also where you are trying to save it?
Generally the message "The destination you have chosen doesn't contain sufficient space" popped up when you save the image file on destination drive which is same as your source drive. Try to use secondary drive as a destination to save the image.
Let us know your progress ..

Manuel
Dear Manuel,
Hope you are well!!
The 'X' mark symbol on files & folders represents deleted files. It would be great if you could let us know what version of OS X you running? Whats the model & size of the hard drive? If you are running the full version of the Mac data recovery software then where are you trying to save recovered data?
Please let us know asap.
Thanks

As soon as you start the software, Drive recovery option will be listed at the top where you could see your problem hard drive. Keep in mind that you've connect the problem hard drive externally on another computer and then install the recommended software.
Choose the drive and any subsequent recovery options such as advanced recovery(FAT or NTFS) or deleted recovery. As the drive capacity is large, software may takes time to scan before giving you the preview of recoverable files and folders. Once the scanning is completed, you can see list of files and folders that were still recoverable. Consider upgrading software to premium version to have your files recovered.
Do let us know if you're facing problem anywhere. Good luck though!!
